Basic Digital Workflow for MAC

From taking the photograph to storing it safely to sharing it and more, learn the process of managing your images!

This course will cover basic “digital workflow”:  taking the images from the camera into the computer.  It will prepare you to manage your images and get them ready for post processing (saving, sizing, printing, storing, etc) using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.

6 Basic Steps to manage your workflow:
1.  Take the pictures (chose RAW or JPG)
2.  Download the images (through the camera or with a card reader)
3.  Organize and back-up your files (automatic download or creating your own filing system)
4.  Import files to your photo-editing program (whatever you have)
5.  Tweak files (adjust color, exposure, contrast)
6.  Export images for email, print, and web.

Course Outline:
First hour:  General file management:  Ryan will cover the first 3 steps, which file format to choose, how to manage and back-up your files and which program is best for you.
After the first hour, Ryan will do an Adobe Lightroom demo, the best program for managing your files.

Even if you are not a Lightroom user yet, this class can serve as a great introduction to file management.
