About this Class
Elevate your skills of photographing family, friends and clients to a whole new level of quality. Advance past the quantity of light and learn how to recognize the quality of light.
Longtime professional portrait photographer and art photographer, Dave Knox will guide you in understanding posture, composition, light, shadow and overall effect of a wonderful portrait. Whether in a home, an office or outside in the park, learn the techniques of good portrait photography. See examples of great people photography by famous photographers as well as previous students. See the techniques that make these images special.
Some of the topics include:
- understanding the various tools used for location photography
- posing individuals and groups
- manipulating natural light and on-camera flash
- seeing how light works for you
Then move beyond the techniques to capture your subject’s personality in your own unique way.
Many photographers find this to be one of the most challenging areas of photography and take this class to overcome their fears. And it works! Knowledge is the key to success.
